“The relation between what we see and what we know is never settled.” John Berger.

We started Move 37 with the belief that the recent advances in machine intelligence technology would be a boon for critical and creative thinkers everywhere. But there’s an immutable force at play that makes capitalising on these technological breakthroughs more important than ever.

90% of the world’s information has been created in the past two years. What are the consequences of a world with too much information? At an individual level, we face two contrasting risks. One is that we become obsessed with getting to the bottom of a problem, and we keep on digging, desperate to find the truth but taking forever to do so. The other risk is that we become overwhelmed with the amount of information out there and we give up: we realise we cannot actually master the issue at hand, and we end up falling back on a pre-existing belief. So the cost of thorough research, discovering key insights and finding decision-making vectors is going up, rapidly.

We foresee a near future where every white-collar worker, whether working alone, in an enterprise or in a small team, will have access to an AI Thought Partner for Work. In augmenting a human’s own expertise, experience, instinct and insight, this technology promises to massively empower people’s curiosity, thirst for knowledge and productivity. It won’t be a single thought partner, but rather a suite of apps, tools and workflows that, when orchestrated together, help us realise whole new capabilities. This is not about incremental changes to how we complete today’s work tasks, but rather a tectonic shift in helping us understand and impact the world around us.

Our vision is to power a new work operating system with augmented intelligence applications that allow for a radically improved type of human and machine symbiosis. And we’re charging towards it.
